Overnight Cherry Almond Steel-Cut Oatmeal
This flat-belly breakfast recipe packs in a double-punch of nutrition with steel-cut oats, which are a high-fiber food, and tart cherries, which contain the highest amount of anti-inflammatory properties of any food. Preparing the ingredients for a slow cooker is minimal, leaving you more time to hit the gym and get rid of belly fat.

1 cup steel-cut oats
3 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup dried tart cherries, unsweetened
1/3 cup sliced almonds
Liberally coat a slow cooker with cooking spray.
In the slow cooker, combine the oatmeal, almond milk, applesauce, almond extract, and tart cherries.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours.
To serve, top with sliced almonds.
