Chocotini Cocktail - dummies

By Erin Palinski-Wade, Tara Gidus, Kristina LaRue

This Chocotini recipe makes the perfect cocktail for the flat-belly diet. A chocolate-flavored martini certainly sounds decadent, but here, coconut water lightens the drink, while a touch of coffee intensifies the chocolate flavor of the vodka.

Prep time: 2 minutes

Yield: 1 serving

1/3 cup ZICO Chocolate Premium Coconut Water (plus 1 ounce for rimming glass)

1/4 cup Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

1/2 teaspoon instant coffee (optional)

1/2 cup ice

Cocoa powder, for rimming the glass

Finely chopped toasted coconut, for garnish

Cocoa nibs, for garnish

  1. Prepare a martini glass: Pour one ounce of coconut water into a shallow dish and place a martini glass into it, upside down, to wet the rim. Gently cover a small plate with the cocoa powder and twirl the rim of the martini glass into it. Turn the glass right-side up and set aside.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, 1/3 cup coconut water, the vodka, and the instant coffee; shake well for 10 to 15 seconds and strain carefully into the prepared martini glass.

  3. Garnish the drink with the shredded coconut and cocoa nibs.
