Evernote: Sharing Notes with Gmail (Web Only)

If you use Gmail, Google’s e-mail service, Evernote can work amiably with your Gmail account so you can share notes easily in your e-mail messages.

Configuring Evernote to work with Gmail

To configure Evernote to work with your Gmail account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Evernote account on the web.

  2. Click the Settings link at the top of the page.

  3. Choose Connected Services from the options on the left.

  4. Click the Connect button next to the Google logo.

    Google may display the following message: This app would like to: Have offline access. If so, click Accept. If you have multiple accounts, Google offers the option to select the account that you want to connect. To connect to a different account, click Add Account.

  5. Log into your Gmail account.

    You are taken back to the Connected Services page and the web version of Evernote has access to your Gmail account.

Sharing with Gmail

To share a note with Gmail, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Share→Email.

    A new e-mail window opens.

  2. In the Send To section, start typing the e-mail address.

    Evernote autocompletes it, based on matching entries from your Gmail contacts.

  3. Type a message, if you want to.

  4. Select the recipient’s address.

    You can also send the note to multiple people by separating their addresses with commas.

  5. Click Email to send the note.
