Evernote: Add Your Address to Contacts from Mobile Devices

By David E. Y. Sarna

Mobile devices have very easy one-click solutions for saving your Evernote e-mail address to contacts. Here’s how to add your address to contacts on several different mobile devices.

Adding your address to iOS devices

On an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, follow these steps to add your e-mail account to your contacts:

  1. Open the Evernote app.

  2. Tap your username in the top-left corner.

  3. Tap General.

  4. Scroll down to Evernote Email Address.

You see your e-mail address for Evernote.

  5. Tap the arrow to the right of the address.

  6. Tap Add to Contacts.

The Add to Contacts button adds your Evernote e-mail address to your contact list. Now you don’t have to worry about your e-mails winding up in your junk mail.

You can also choose to copy your Evernote e-mail address to the Clipboard in case you want to give it to someone or store the address someplace else on your device.

Adding your address to Android devices

On an Android device, follow these steps to add your e-mail account to your contacts:

  1. Tap your username at the top of the Evernote home screen.

  2. Tap Settings.

Below this heading, you see the entry Evernote Email Address. The address listed below this area is your autogenerated e-mail address.

  3. Tap Add to Address Book.

  4. Choose whether you want to save the address to your device or to your Google account.

You must have a Gmail account for the latter option to work.

  5. Enter contact information for your account.

Yes, this step seems to be mostly a formality, but it’s worth the minute or two it takes to enter a minimal amount of information so that you don’t lose information to your junk box.

  6. Tap Save.

Now whenever you e-mail from your Android device, you can avoid having to hunt for your Evernote e-mail address.

  6. Tap Contacts→New Contact.

  7. Paste the e-mail address that you copied in Step 5.

  8. Press the BlackBerry key, and tap Save to save the address in your contacts.
