How to Rearrange the Order of Pinterest Boards

By Janine Warner, David LaFontaine

You can rearrange the order of your Pinterest boards on your profile page to reflect their importance or to better illustrate your passions. Many users also rearrange their boards to keep up with the calendar.

For example, in January you may not want your first board to be Halloween Costume Ideas. One of the beautiful things about Pinterest is that you have the option to slide that Halloween board down to the bottom of your page and then bring it back to the top come October.

The first couple of rows on your Pinterest page are prime real estate. This is a user’s first opportunity to get to know who you are as a pinner. Not only do you want to arrange your boards in a visually pleasing way, but you also want to show the pinning world what matters most to you via your pins.

Take some time to play around with the order of the boards on your page, and don’t be afraid to go back and rearrange if you find that some of your best content is being ignored.

Here’s how to change the order of your boards on Pinterest:

  1. Open Pinterest in your favorite web browser and log in to your user account.

  2. Click the button with your profile name at the top right of the browser window.

Your main profile page opens with all your boards.

  3. Click to select the board you want to move.

  4. Drag the selected board to a new location.

The boards adjust to make room for the board you moved.
