How to Install the Pinterest App on Your iPhone
The Pinterest app for the iPhone makes it easy to view your friends’ pins and to repin items when you’re out and about (and even when you’re relaxing at home). You can also view the latest Pinterest activity related to your pins (such as comments, likes, and repins of your shared pins), your basic profile, as well as a list of your latest pins and all of your boards.
To install the Pinterest app for the iPhone, follow these steps:
Go to the App Store on your phone.
Search for the word Pinterest.
A list of apps relevant to Pinterest appears.
Find the main Pinterest app (developed by Cold Brew Labs) in the list of search results and tap the Install button.
The Pinterest app Info page appears.
Tap the Install button in the top-right corner of the screen.
The Apple ID Password screen appears.
Type in your password and tap OK.
The app icon appears on your screen, and a progress bar below it indicates the download progress.
When the app is done downloading, tap the app icon to open it.
The login screen appears.
Choose Facebook or Twitter to log in with (whichever one you currently have integrated with your Pinterest account) and authorize the app through the instructions on either Facebook or Twitter.
Alternately, you can log in with your Pinterest account e-mail and password.
Tap the Login button.
The Push Notifications window appears. Push notifications will pop up an alert when your Pinterest account has activity.
Tap either Don’t Allow or Allow, depending on your preference for push notifications.
The Pinterest app launches.
After you’ve installed and launched the Pinterest app, you see the app in its logged-in format, which includes the Pinterest logo at the top of the screen and a menu at the bottom with icons for different tabs in the app. The tab you’re currently viewing is indicated by which icon at the bottom is red.
The Pinterest app will revert to full-screen viewing while scrolling pins. To see the menu again, touch and keep your finger on the screen and move your finger down.
