Create a Press Room on Your Mom Blog

By Wendy Piersall, Heather B. Armstrong

A press room page is a collection of article links, videos, and audio interviews wherever you’ve been mentioned in the media. Few things convey professionalism and credibility better than getting mentioned in the media. So if and when that starts happening for you, set up a special online “press room” — a page on your blog that showcases the stories written about you.

You can include any awards you have received on this page. The more press coverage you get, the more will come your way; it’s kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. So, to prove to journalists and producers that you are camera-ready or feature-worthy, show off what you’ve already done.

Jen Singer created a killer press room page and has been great about keeping it up to date. You can see it here as a great example to strive for when you build your blog’s press room.
