How to Use Bookmarks on the Amazon Fire Phone
Bookmarks are those electronic breadcrumbs you can drop as you wander the web on your Fire phone. Need to revisit a website? Just look up its bookmark. This advice assumes, of course, that you bother to create (or drop) a bookmark when you first visit the site.
Creating a bookmark
To bookmark a web page in the Silk app, obey these steps:
Visit the web page you adore or somehow feel compelled to bookmark.
Tap the Menu icon.
It’s found in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Choose the Add Bookmark command.
The Add Bookmark window appears.
Edit the Name field to make the entry shorter and more descriptive.
Especially when the web page’s title is long, cut it down to something more descriptive. Shorter names look better in the Bookmarks window.
Touch the OK button to add the bookmark.
View your bookmarks by visiting the Bookmarks screen.
To view the bookmarks, choose the Bookmarks command from the Navigation panel. You see a scrolling list of bookmarks showing a web page thumbnail, the bookmark name, and the address. Touch a bookmark to visit that page.
To open a bookmark in a new tab, long-press the bookmark entry and choose the Open in New Tab command.
To remove a bookmark, long-press its entry on the Bookmarks screen. Choose the Remove Bookmark command. Tap OK to confirm.
