How to Add Facebook Events to Your iPhone Calendar
Whether you’re a Facebook addict or just an occasional user, linking Facebook to iPhone’s Calendar can be an easy way to keep track of friends’ birthdays and other events posted on Facebook such as class reunions and store promotions. This is optional, so follow these steps to activate this feature, or not:
The Facebook settings screen opens.
If you don’t have the Facebook app installed, tap the Install button to download it from the iTunes Store.
Tap in the User Name field and type in your user name.
Tap in the Password field and type in your password.
Tap Sign In.
A disclaimer appears that explains what happens on your iPhone when you sign in to Facebook. Essentially, information about your Facebook friends is downloaded to Contacts; Facebook events sync to your Calendar; you can post status updates and images directly from the Photos app; and Facebook-enabled apps work with your permission.
Tap Sign In again to accept these conditions. You can change the settings after you sign in if you don’t want these things to happen.
The Facebook setting screen reappears with Calendar and Contacts options.
Tap Calendar On.
Even if you turn this feature on, you can hide the Facebook Events calendar.
