Removing Apps on a Windows 10 Device

By Woody Leonhard

If you really want to remove an app. . . er, a program, from Windows 10 the old-fashioned way, you can go to the old Control Panel (right-click Start, Control Panel) and at the bottom left click the link to “Add or remove programs.”

Windows 10 has a different way, though — and one that gives you useful information that isn’t available in the old Control Panel. Click Start, Settings, System, Apps & features. Wait a heartbeat or three, and Windows puts together a list of your apps, sorted by the amount of storage they’re occupying. To delete an app, click or tap on it and choose Uninstall.
