Did you tweet something especially important, amusing, or newsworthy? Is your brand currently running a promotion? Twitter now offers the ability to pin tweets to the top of your Twitter profile page so they remain there, even after you add other tweets. The pinned tweet stays at the top of your profile page, so it’s the first thing people read when they access that page.

How to pin a tweet
Pinning tweets keeps them at the top of your profile page.

To pin tweets, follow these steps:

  1. Open your profile page.
  2. Select the tweet you want to highlight.

That tweet appears in its own page.

  3. Select the More option (which looks like an ellipsis).
  4. Select Pin to Your Profile Page from the pop-up menu that appears.
Keep in mind that if you have a tweet that is already pinned, you'll have to unpin it first. Twitter only allows you to pin one tweet at a time.

To unpin a tweet, follow the preceding steps, but choose the Unpin option in Step 4.
