How to Add your Evernote E-Mail Address to Your Contacts
Your Evernote address is automatically generated to provide better security. The address contains elements of your name to make it easy enough to remember, plus a few random numbers to ensure that it won’t be duplicated. In other words, Evernote’s autogenerated address appends a number that’s truly random and doesn’t indicate how many others have your address.
The location where you can find your Evernote e-mail address varies for each platform and device. Use the following information to locate your Evernote-generated e-mail address, and then add it to your contacts:
Online: Log in, click your username, and then click Account Settings in the top-right corner of the screen. The e-mail information is located on the Account Summary tab, in the Email Notes to section.
You can do something else cool here. Evernote strives to protect you from spam. If your account starts to receive spam, you can click the Reset button. Evernote generates a new e-mail for you. Don’t forget to put the new address in your contacts list.
Windows: Open Evernote, and choose Tools→Account Info. You can also upgrade your account, see how much you’ve used Evernote, and check out how much more you can do before you reach your limit. This command is good to use when you need to see basic information in one place.
Mac: Open Evernote, and choose Evernote→Account Info. You can also upgrade your account, see how much you’ve used Evernote, and check out how much more you can do before you reach your limit. This command is good to use when you need to see basic information in one place.
Many people add their Evernote address to their contact list, and routinely copy their important outgoing e-mail to it. You can also forward incoming e-mail to that address when you want to be sure to save it.
