Integrate Facebook and Twitter with Your Kindle Fire HD

By Nancy C. Muir

If you want to work with your Facebook and Twitter accounts from your Kindle Fire HD, you can download those free apps from the Amazon Appstore. However, in order to share items via Facebook and Twitter, you can use integrated tools in Kindle Fire HD itself.

For example, if you’re reading a book in your library, you can tap the screen to display tools and then tap the Share button at the top of the screen. This offers you the options shown here, which lists shared comments from others on the same book.

Simply enter a comment. If you want to share via Facebook or Twitter, just tap one of those options and a screen like the one shown here appears. Tap Connect and sign into your account to post your comment to your Facebook page or Twitter account.

You can also compare your game progress with Facebook friends when you join GameCircle. When you tap the Games library on the Home screen, you see a screen such as the one shown.

Tap the Connect button, and you can create a connection between your Amazon account and Facebook. (Alternately, while in Games, if you have shared your GameCircle nickname by tapping the Show button, you can then tap the Menu button on the Options bar, then tap Settings and tap the On button to activate the link from Amazon to Facebook).

You can then share you scores and achievements on Facebook and add any Facebook friends who have joined GameCircle.
