Install Pandora on Your Samsung Galaxy S6

By Bill Hughes

Internet radio applications are a great way to play music from your Samsung Galaxy S6. Even if you live in or near a big city with a full dial of broadcast radio stations, the traditional options can get stale. Internet radio solves that problem.

There are many Internet radio stations available. One of the more popular Internet radio applications is Pandora. Pandora allows you to set up your own radio “station,” which you can customize or modify as you wish. Follow these steps to download Pandora to your Samsung Galaxy S6 and start the fun:

  1. Tap the Play Store icon from your Home screen.

  2. Tap the Apps option from the Play Store Home page.

  3. Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner and start typing pandora.

This is the not first day on the job for the Play Store. Before you have typed in more than a few letters, it jumps to the assumption that you want the Pandora Internet radio apps.

  4. Select “Pandora internet radio.”

  5. Tap the green Install button and accept permissions.

Once installed, the app page appears. Instead of Install in the blue box, you will see the options of Open or Uninstall in gray boxes.

  6. Tap Open.

The log-in screen appears. This is where you either log in if you already have an account with Pandora, say on your PC, or sign up for the first time.

  7. To sign up for a Pandora account, tap the Register for Free link.

The registration screen appears. This assumes that you have not already created an account on your PC.

Go ahead and enter your information and check the box that accepts the terms and conditions.

  8. Tap the Register button.

    This opens the app.

  9. To Select a Genre, tap the text box that says Create a New Station.

  10. Tap Browse Genre Stations.

A list of music genres appears. Scan through each option for the exact nuance you are seeking. Chances are you will find it!
