When you shop on eBay, you’re going to come across some acronyms in item titles. Knowing what these acronyms stand for ahead of time (so you don’t have to click every item) will help you quickly figure out what you’re looking at. The following table shows you a list of some of the more common abbreviations used on the site.

A Quick List of eBay Abbreviations
eBay Slang What It Abbreviates What It Means
MIB Mint in Box The item is in the original box, in great shape, and just the way you’d expect to find it in a store.
MOC Mint on Card The item is mounted on its original display card, in store-new condition.
NRFB Never Removed from Box Just what it says, as in “bought but never opened.”
COA Certificate of Authenticity Documentation that vouches for the genuineness of an item, such as an autograph or painting.
MINT Mint A never-used item or collectible in perfect condition
OOAK One of a Kind You are looking at the only one in existence!
NR No Reserve Price A reserve price is the price set by a seller when he or she begins an auction. If bids don’t meet the reserve, the seller doesn’t have to sell the item.
HTF, OOP Hard to Find, Out of Print Out of print, only a few ever made. (HTF means scarce; it doesn’t mean you spent a week looking for it in the attic.)
