SharePoint 2010’s Business Intelligence Center Site Template
The new Business Intelligence Center site template in SharePoint 2010 brings together everything for you in order to monitor, analyze, and represent performance data and results in your organization.
To create a site based on the Business Intelligence Center template, you must have the PerformancePoint Services Site Collection feature turned on. If you aren’t the owner of the site collection, ask the site owner to activate the feature for you.
The PerformancePoint Services Site Collection feature enables the PerformancePoint Services site, including associated content types and site definitions.
You can also create a new site collection using the Business Intelligence Center site template.
The Business Intelligence Center site template choice is available from most SharePoint parent templates. To create a new site that uses the Business Intelligence Center site template, follow these steps:
Choose Site Actions→New Site.
The Create dialog box appears. The Business Intelligence Center template is available from the All Categories or Enterprise Category below the Filter By: header on the left of the dialog box.
Click the Business Intelligence Center icon.
You see the types of sites (site templates) that you can choose from. Select the Business Intelligence Center template.
Type a title and URL in the appropriate fields in the Create dialog box.
You can also click the More Options button to include a description and to decide on permission or navigation inheritance.
Click the Create button.
Your new Business Intelligence Center appears with prepopulated help information and sample data.
