4 Tips for Creating a Facebook Business Page

When people customize their Facebook business page, they usually include graphics and might even add applications. Those features are great, but you need to remember a few small things that affect the appearance of your Facebook business page:

  • Include links in your posts.

    Links pull in thumbnails images, which catch the eye more than text alone.

  • Look for a good thumbnail.

    When posting a link, Facebook enables you to select from images available on the site you’re sharing. Selecting one that tells the reader what the site is about is more effective than selecting something that means little to the reader who just happened to be on that page.


  • Don’t post too much content.

    When you post too much text, people may be less likely to absorb your post when they’re skimming their news feeds. Save your longer posts for elsewhere and share short tidbits that will whet a reader’s appetite.

  • Select an image for your profile picture that can be seen when it’s small.

    You want to make sure that people know what they’re looking at when they see your posts in their news feeds It’s best to use a consistent image across all social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, and so on) so that your brand is recognizable.
