Social Media Galleries and Dog Photography
These days, seemingly everyone is on a social media website, with Facebook leading the pack. Why not use your Facebook powers for good and upload those adorable puppy photos to share with the world? (Or share with just your closest friends and family, depending on how you’ve chosen your privacy settings.)
This method of sharing is free and also gives you the ability to tag photos so you can make sure certain people see them. If you don’t already have a Facebook profile, it’s time to jump on the social media bandwagon, folks, even if the sole reason you join is to share photos of Rufus!
After your profile is active, uploading a photo gallery is quick and easy:
Log on to Facebook using your e-mail address and password.
Click Profile in the top right corner of the screen to navigate to your own profile page.
Click Photos from the list under your profile picture and then click Upload Photos in the top right corner of the screen.
Click Select Photos.
Navigate to the folder where the photos you want to upload reside and click the photo you want to upload, or hold down the Control key (Command key on a Mac) and click to choose multiple photos located in the same folder.
A window appears in which you can name your album, designate the location where you took your photos, choose your image quality, and decide with whom you want to share your album (such as only your friends and family or the entire world).
After you choose all your settings, click Create Album.
On the next screen, you can add descriptions to each photo and choose which image you want to appear as the album cover.
When you’re done, simply click Publish Now and your photos are officially uploaded for all to see.
To tag a photo on Facebook (that is, alert your mom that you’ve added brand-new photos of her adorable furry grandchild), navigate to your photo album and click the photo you want to tag. Next, click Tag Photo, click the photo, and start typing your mom’s name.
Assuming you’re friends with your mom on Facebook, her name pops up in a list below the field in which you type. Click her name and then click Done Tagging. Your photo now shows up on your mom’s wall, alerting her that new pictures of Fluffy are online for her to ogle and brag about.
