Mama Mia Meatball Pizza - dummies

This meatball pizza will keep your finicky children satisfied without exacerbating your hypertension, because who doesn’t like pizza? This quick and easy recipe also won’t take up a lot of your time in preparation — just throw it together, bake it up, and eat!

Although this recipe is made of good-for-you-ingredients, it’s also slightly higher in sodium, so balance out your meal choices the rest of the day with lower-sodium options.

Mama Mia Meatball Pizza

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 8–10 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

1 package of two 8-inch whole-wheat thin pizza crusts

4 tablespoons prepared pizza sauce

1 cup frozen Italian-style meatballs, thawed and halved

1/4 cup shredded provolone cheese

1/4 cup shredded gruyere cheese

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on each of the pizza crusts. Divide the meatballs between the two pizzas.

  3. Blend the two cheeses together and top each pizza with half of the cheese mixture.

  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Slice with a pizza cutter or a pair of kitchen shears.
