How to Set an Alarm on Your Droid X
When you want your Droid to wake you up, you can take advantage of the Alarm & Timer app. You can set more than one alarm, and the Droid X remembers what times you’ve set in the past.
Touch the Launcher button on the Home screen and choose the Alarm & Timer icon from the Applications Tray.
If you see an alarm time that you want to set, touch the gray square to the right of that time.
A green check mark in a square indicates that an alarm is set. If you do this, your alarm is set and you’re done.
To create your own alarm, press the Menu soft button and choose Add Alarm→Time.
Use the gizmo to set the hour and minute and specify AM or PM, and then touch the Set button.
The time of the alarm is now set. But what sounds do you want to hear at that time?
Touch the Sound button and choose a ringtone for the alarm.
If you want the phone to vibrate when it sounds the alarm, place a check mark next to the Vibrate option.
If the alarm is really important to you, having it both make a noise and vibrate might be a good idea.
Choose whether the alarm repeats.
Choose which days of the week you want the alarm to sound.
Choose the Name item, and then type or dictate a label for the alarm.
If you plan to reuse the alarm, you can give it a name to easily find it later.
Touch the Done button to create the alarm.
The alarm appears in a list on the main Alarm Clock screen, along with any other available alarms.
Touch the gray square to the right of the alarm you just created to set it.
Alarms must be set, or else they won’t trigger.
To remove an alarm, touch it in the main list, choose Delete from the bottom of the screen, and touch the OK button to confirm.
The alarm doesn’t work when you turn off the phone. The alarm does, however, go off when the phone is sleeping.
