Great Drupal Modules: Site Map

As your Drupal site grows, it’s important that visitors be able to find the information they are seeking. Creating a site map can help, and the Site Map module automatically creates one for you. To create one, choose Configuration→Search & Metadata→Site Map. This opens the Site Map form, shown.


The form allows you to enter text to appear at the top of the page. You can specifically include menus and front-page content if you like. Click Save Configuration to generate your site map.

Before your site map will work, you have to enable it. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Modules on the Dashboard menu bar.

  2. Scroll down to Site Map module and select the Enable check box on the far left side of the module’s row.

  3. Click Save Permissions.

The newly created site map is located on your site at For example, ours is at You can link to the site map as you would any other page by adding a link in one of your menus.
