A simple solution to placing RSS feeds onto your Drupal site is to use the included Core module called Feed Aggregator. To enable and use the Aggregator module, follow these steps:

  1. Click Modules on the Dashboard menu bar.

  2. Click the Enabled module next to the Aggregator module under the Core section.

  3. Click Save Configuration.

The Aggregator is now active and a new link to Feed Aggregator appears in the Navigation menu. This will be where all your feed content appears.

  4. To add a feed, choose Configuration→Feed Aggregator.

  5. Click the Add Feed tab.

This opens the Add Feed form, as shown in the following.

  6. Give your feed a title in the Title text box.

For example, a feed from the drupal.org site is used and called Drupal.org.

  7. Paste or type the URL of the feed in the URL text box.

  8. Click Save.

Your feed will update every hour. To get the feed to appear immediately, run cron by choosing Reports→Status Report. Choose Run Cron Manually next to Cron maintenance tasks on the right.

You can view your new feed by choosing Navigation→Feed Aggregator.

To move the Feed Aggregator from the Navigation menu, and to give it a different Link title, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Structure→Menus.

  2. Click List Links next to the Navigation menu.

This opens a list of links currently in your Navigation menu.

  3. Locate Feed Aggregator in the list and click the Edit link.

  4. If you want to change the link’s title, type the new title in the Link Title text box.

In this example, the purpose is to aggregate feeds about Drupal, the title is changed to Drupal News.

  5. Change the menu by clicking the Parent Item drop-down list and choosing a different menu.

For the purposes of this example, <Main menu> is selected.

  6. Click Save.

The Drupal News link is now the last link in the Main menu. To place this link for it comes before the Contact Me link, you’re already on the right page to do it (the List items under the Main menu).

  8. Click Save Configuration.
