The Ribbon, rolled out with Microsoft Office 2007, organizes hundreds of commands in a horizontal band of tabs. Each tab features functional icons in family groupings – such as, Page Layout – to allow you to pick a command to perform a task. You can minimize and restore the Ribbon to move it out of the way and bring it back to your screen in full view.
