How to Configure an iOS Device on Your Network for Exchange Email
After ActiveSync is enabled for the mailbox, you can configure an iPhone or iPad on your network to tap into the Exchange account on your network by following these steps:
1On the iPhone or iPad, tap Settings and then tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
This screen lists any existing email accounts that may already be configured on the phone and also lets you add a new account.
2Tap Add Account.
This screen appears, allowing you to choose the type of email account you want to add.
4Enter your email address, password, and a description of the account. Tap Next.
This screen appears.
5Enter either the DNS name or the IP address of your Exchange server in the Server field.
For example, you could enter smtp.lowewriter.com for your Exchange server.
6Enter your domain name, your Windows username, and your Windows password in the appropriate fields. Tap Next.
This screen appears.. Here, you select which mailbox features you want to synchronize: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and/or Notes.
7Select the features you want to synchronize and then tap Done.
The email account is created.
After the email account has been configured, the user can access it via the Mail icon on the iPhone’s home screen.
