Use Klout to Study Businesses Successful in Social Media

Many small businesses and professionals are successful right now. The best don’t hire outside companies to write their posts and handle their online persona. Instead, they build their bottom line personally.

Run a search on Google for the businesses described here. Then run a search on your competition. You’ll see that successful companies have a full first page of search results from their web, e-commerce, and social media connections.

Want to find the leaders and the laggards? The Klout site measures the influence and engagement levels of those in the social media arena. Each persona or brand is assigned a Klout score, which changes daily. Since 2008, Klout has been measuring online accounts in many platforms on social media. This is from their site:
