Setting Up Different Profiles on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK

By Corey Sandler

You can have different user profiles on your Galaxy Tab S2 Nook, including a profile just for kids. When you make separate user profiles, you decide what movies and eBooks you see in your apps and assign libraries to specific users. A bonus: You don’t have to see your kid’s movies in your list.

Make sure each user profile has a secure password or pattern.

Here’s how to create a new profile or user:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to see the notification panel.

  2. Tap the Settings (gear) icon.

  3. Tap the General tab at the top of the screen.

  4. From the left panel, scroll up and tap Users.

  5. Tap the Add User (silhouette with +) icon.

  6. Choose to create a user.

A restricted profile works well for children, if you want to prevent them from using certain apps. Tap to place a check mark beside the functions you want the child to be able to use. A restricted profile can’t use Gmail, Dropbox, Google+, Hangouts, the Photos app, Samsung In-App Purchase, and the NOOK Shop. However, you can enable Outlook.com.
