Clearing Your Tab 4 NOOK’s Browser History
You can consult your history of web browsing on the Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK just like you can when browsing from a laptop or desktop. You can clear the History list on your Tab 4 NOOK quite easily. Here’s how:
Tap the Menu icon within the Chrome browser.
Recent Tabs. If you’re signed in to Chrome, you can see web pages that have been opened on your Tab 4 NOOK as well as any desktop, laptop, smartphone, or other tablet that shares the account.
Most Visited. If you select Recent Tabs you will see another option now displayed at the bottom of the screen. Tap Most Visited to be offered a page full of just that: the most often-visited Web page on your tablet.
When your history is displayed, look for the little option bar at the bottom of the page, below all of that information you don’t want recorded.
Tap Clear Browsing Data.
Don’t assume that any search, web page visit, email, message, chat, or any other action you perform on the Internet is private.
To begin with, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) probably records all traffic that goes through its equipment. And then the web page at the end of the line will likely keep track of any user that visits — or at least their IP address, which is the electronic connection between your Wi-Fi modem or wired modem and the Internet.
If you use a different browser on your Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK, check the settings page to find a Security and Privacy panel. You can sweep away local evidence of your excursions on the Internet.
