Delete photos on iPad 2

You might find that it’s time to get rid of some of those old photos of the family reunion or the last community center project.

You can delete photos that you shot yourself using iPad’s cameras, or downloaded from a digital camera, SD card, or the Internet. You cannot delete photos that are synched to the iPad from your computer using this method. Instead, you need to delete these photos through iTunes.

  1. With the Photos app open, tap the Albums tab and then tap an album to open it.

The photos in the album appear as small thumbnails.

  2. Tap the Menu button.

    A menu appears.

  3. Tap on each photo you want to get rid of (a blue check mark appears), and then tap the Delete button.

    The selected photos are deleted.
