How to Upload Marketing Videos on YouTube
YouTube is now the only video sharing site that is an absolute necessity for your marketing video distribution. Yes, YouTube is sometimes messy, crowded, and unpredictable, but it’s also where most people look for videos on the topics they care about. YouTube, a cultural phenomenon, is quite simply the only video site that many Internet users visit. It’s now also the second-largest search engine in the world.
After your YouTube channel is ready to go, it’s time to upload your first video. Follow these steps:
Prepare the video that you want to upload.
The video file should be ready on your computer or on an attached hard drive. YouTube accepts all widely used video file formats, such as AVI, MOV, and MP4.
Go to YouTube to ensure that you’re logged in.
If you see your username in the upper-right corner, you’re logged in. Otherwise, click the Sign In link and enter your username and password.
Click the Upload link.
This link opens the Upload Video Files page.
Click the Select Files from Your Computer button.
A file selection box appears. Select the video on your computer that you want to upload. Click Open. YouTube starts the upload and shows you a progress bar indicating how long it will take.
While you wait, start adding the video information.
Immediately below the Upload Video Files section, you can enter the title, descriptive text, and tags (keywords) for your video. Choose an appropriate category.
When the upload is complete and you have entered all required information, click the Save Changes button.
To watch your video, go to your channel page. Find your username in the upper-right corner, and click it. When the menu appears, choose My Channel.
A keyword-rich title, crisp description text, and plenty of tags are important in order to be found by your intended audience. YouTube management tools, such as the Pixability video marketing software, can help you save a lot of time.
Always upload the highest-quality file format for your video. If your video is in high-definition (HD) resolution, upload it. YouTube automatically scales it down to multiple different formats that provide viewers with optimal quality.
