David Pogue (Stamford, CT) Yale '85 became the personal-technology columnist for The New York Times in November 2000, after having written the Desktop Critic Column for Macworld magazine for ten years. His column, State of the Art appears every Thursday on the front page of the Circuits section. With over 3 million books in print, Pogue is considered one of the world's bestselling computer book authors. He has written or co-written seven books in the Dummies series including iMac For Dummies and Macs For Dummies. Pogue is also the creator and primary author of the Missing Manual series, a joint venture with O'Reilly and Associates.
