uninterruptible power supply, UPS: A power strip combined with a battery to keep your computer running when the power goes out.

USB; Universal Serial Bus: A computer connection that you can use to attach many different kinds of devices and peripherals to a computer.

user account: An account that every 7 user must have on a given PC. The account defines the user’s privileges and allows the user to customize items, such as the desktop and file settings.

User Account Control; UAC: A Windows safety option that protects you from accidentally making changes to your system that could have a negative effect on system performance or stability.

username: The name of your user account.
