How to Use the Quadratic Formula to Solve Algebraic Equations

Using the quadratic formula to solve equations may bring one, two, or no algebraic solutions. The quadratic formula is special to quadratic equations, which can have fractions, radicals, or neverending decimals.

    what happens if you have a number that doesn't have a square root such as x^2=8x or x squared = 8 x i don't under stand how to do that?

    ummmm... your UNFOIL equation X2+3x-4=0 the answer should be (x+4)(x-1) instead of (x-4)(x+1)
