Click the name of a potential reference check and ask her for a recommendation of your applicant.
When you click the name in the search results, you’ll bring up the person’s profile. You can use InMail or an Introduction to send a message to this person and you can ask if she has worked with your applicant and whether they're willing to offer their own assessment of the person.
You can ask for additional recommendations by repeating Steps 4 and 5 and identifying other individuals who might be able to help. Because the first person you ask may not respond, you may want to contact additional people in the Search Results screen, in the hope that one person will respond in the necessary timeframe.
