How to Delete a Style in Word 2007

7 of 10 in Series: The Essentials of Creating and Using Styles in Word 2007

In Word 2007, you can delete any style that you create. Keep in mind that you cannot delete the Normal, Heading, or any other standard Word style.

Display the Styles task pane.

To do this, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S.

Select the style, and choose Delete from its drop-down menu.

This menu appears to the right of the style when you select it in the Styles task pane.

When asked to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Word deletes the style.
