Changing Sharing Options for a Windows 7 Home Network

After creating or joining a homegroup for your Windows 7 home network, you might decide to change which libraries and printers you want to share. Also, although the computer is a member of the homegroup, each individual user on the computer decides which of their libraries to share with the homegroup. Follow these steps to change your Windows 7 home network sharing options.

1

Open the Windows Control Panel, and then click Network and Internet.

The Network and Internet window appears.

2

Under HomeGroup, click Choose HomeGroup and Sharing Options.

The HomeGroup window appears.

3

Under Share Libraries and Printers, select the items you would like to share; deselect any you don’t want to share. Click Save Changes.

The items you can select or deselect include Pictures, Music, Videos, Documents, and Printers.
