A Collection of Images from Travel Photography In A Day For Dummies

Taking stop-action shots

Stop-action photography with a fast shutter speed catches motion without blurring. However, sometimes a little blurriness can help convey motion, such as in this image of shorebirds in flight. To get this effect, you would use a slightly slower shutter speed while panning to stay with the flock. This image was taken at 1/320 second.
