Positioning yourself above the subject creates a compelling look

Most of the photos you see are all captured from the same angle — straight ahead. Naturally this is the easiest angle to shoot from because you’re most likely on the same plane as the athlete you’re photographing. However, if you find yourself in a position to do so, shoot from an elevated position down at your subject.
