Beeswax makes fantastic, natural cosmetics — which, in turn, make treasured gifts. The process is surprisingly easy, and the ingredients readily available — beeswax from a beekeeper; food-grade oil from the grocery store (extra virgin olive oil works well); and essential oils from the health food store.

For making Beeswax Lip Balm, you can use any good quality food-grade oil, but sweet Almond Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil work best. You can add any edible essential oil to the lip balm, but this recipe calls for peppermint.
