How to Insert and Format WordArt in Excel 2010
Use WordArt — stylized text objects — to add pizzazz and emphasis to headings and other text in your Excel 2010 worksheets. WordArt objects can be moved, resized, arranged, rotated, and formatted just like other graphic objects in Excel.
Follow these steps to create a WordArt object in a worksheet:
On the Insert tab, click the WordArt button in the Text group.
A gallery of options appears.
Select a WordArt style.
A box appears on the worksheet.Add elaborate text to your worksheets with WordArt.
Type the text you want the WordArt object to say.
The text shrinks to fit into the existing box, but you can resize it later.
Click the Drawing Tools Format tab.
Use the tools in the WordArt Styles group to modify the WordArt text characteristics.
All options include Live Preview, so as you pause your mouse pointer over any option, you see its effect on your WordArt object:
Use the WordArt Styles gallery to change the style of any or all of the WordArt. Click the More button to see additional styles.
Text Fill changes the text color, gradient, or pattern.
Text Outline modifies the outer edges of the text.
Text Effects applies special effects such as shadow, reflection, rotation, and bevel.Use Text Effects to apply effects such as 3-D rotation to a WordArt object.
To apply a background to the WordArt object, click the More button in the Shape Styles group to open the Shape Styles gallery.
A gallery of themed styles appears.
Select a background option or click the Other Theme Fills arrow to select from several gradient options.
The background formatting is applied to the WordArt object.
