How to Log into Your Squarespace Website
To begin customizing your site on Squarespace, you need to be able to gain access to it as the site owner. You can do so in three ways.
The easiest way to log in to your website is to press the Esc (Escape) key on your keyboard when you go to your website in your browser. Visit your site at your Squarespace URL (http://your-account.squarespace.com or your custom domain) and press the Esc key. When the login prompt appears, enter your e-mail address and password to get into your website.
Using the Esc key has some drawbacks. For instance, if you add custom code to your site that uses the Esc key to exit out of a full-screen experience, you can’t press the Esc key to log into your site. A couple of examples are watching a video or a slideshow in full-screen.
You can disable the Esc key functionality for logging into your site by going to Site Manager→Settings.
Going to Squarespace.com
Another way to log in is to visit the main Squarespace website and click the Login link at the top right of the website. When you see the login prompt screen, enter the e-mail address and password for your site. This method is handy if you forget the Squarespace URL or account name for your website
If you manage more than one Squarespace account with the same e-mail address and password, you will be logged into the last website you logged into.
To switch to another Squarespace website you manage or to which you contribute, go to Site Manager and click the Squarespace logo in the lower-left corner of your browser. From the pop-up menu that appears, select the other Squarespace site.
Going to the login page
To log in directly to your website, you can bookmark your site or type your site’s login address (http://your-account.squarespace.com/config) in your browser’s URL field. You will be taken directly to the login screen, where you can enter your e-mail address and password to log in to your website.
If you forget your password to log in to your website, click the Forget Password? link under the far right of the password field, and type the e-mail address you use to log in to your site. You will receive an e-mail message with a link to click to reset your password.
