Save Pictures from a Mobile Device to Evernote

You can take and save pictures from your mobile device to Evernote, or — if you have Eye-Fi Pro X2 — any digital camera that supports a memory card that’s compatible with Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) format cards.

Take pictures on an iOS device in Evernote

To take and save pictures on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Evernote app.

  2. Create a new note, and select the Camera icon.

    This opens up your device’s built-in camera.

  3. Take the picture when you’re ready.

    This feature operates the same way as simply taking a picture.

  4. Tap Retake or Save, depending on whether you’re happy with the picture.

    Retake allows you to try again. If you’re satisfied with the picture, save it to the note by tapping Save.

Take pictures on an Android device in Evernote

To take and save pictures on an Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Evernote app.

  2. Tap New Note on the main screen.

  3. Tap the camera icon in the top-right corner to take a picture.

  4. Tap Save when you’re satisfied with the picture.

    The picture automatically attaches to the note.

Take pictures on Windows phones in Evernote

To take and save pictures on a Windows phone, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Evernote app.

  2. Tap the Camera quick note button on the Home screen.

    This opens up your device’s built-in camera.

  3. Take the picture when you’re ready.

    This feature operates the same way as simply taking a picture.

  4. Tap the device’s back button to save the note and return to the Home screen.

    The picture automatically attaches to the note.

Take pictures on a BlackBerry phone in Evernote

To take and save pictures on a BlackBerry phone, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Evernote app.

  2. Tap the Snapshot button on the top right of the Home screen.

    This opens up your device’s built-in camera.

  3. Take the picture when you’re ready.

    This feature operates the same way as simply taking a picture.

  4. Tap Done to save the note and return to the Home screen.

    The picture automatically attaches to the note.
