How to Change Evernote to Text-Only View

By David E. Y. Sarna

With all Android devices, Windows computers, and Macintosh computers you can display your Evernote notes in text-only view. This view is helpful because it maximizes the number of notes you can see. (Text-only view is unavailable on Evernote for iOS devices. On those devices, Snippets view is the default view.)

Here’s how to change the view in Evernote on computers:

  • Windows: Select List View or press Ctrl+F5.

  • Mac: Select List View or press Command+1.

You can maximize the number of notes you see by extending the list area to the right and shrinking the amount of a single note that’s visible on the side.

To change the view in Evernote on Android devices, follow these steps:

  1. Tap All Notes or Notebooks (if you know which notebook you need to check).

  2. Tap the All Notes menu at the top of the screen.

  3. Tap the down arrow below Choose Information Level, and choose List View from the drop-down menu.

Now you can see more notes at a time.
