How to Manage Your SlideShare Account Settings
From the Home screen, click on your picture and then click the Account Settings tab.
The Account Settings are listed on the left side of the screen that appears:
Social: Connect your social profiles from LinkedIn and Facebook.
Apps: Connect to use Haiku Deck to create your slide decks.
Email: Manage what notifications you receive in your e-mail account.
Privacy: Set who can send private messages, share content with you, and block users.
Content: Set your preferred language and copyright preferences.
Change Password: To change your password or to permanently delete your SlideShare account.
Manage your settings from this screen.
You can change personal and contact details under the Profile Details section.
Managing your e-mail notifications is the most content rich account setting selection.
Email notification preferences include sending an e-mail to you when:
When someone likes my SlideShare
When someone comments on my SlideShare
When someone I follow uploads a SlideShare
When someone follows me
When I upload a SlideShare
When I download content
When my SlideShare is featured on the homepage
With my SlideShare statistics
With SlideShares I’ll find useful
For marketing campaigns
When a lead is captured
For SlideShare’s bi-weekly newsletter
For new product releases/updates
The default setting for email notification is on for each of the items. If you are receiving too many notifications, simply uncheck the email preference.
