Consume More Antioxidant-Rich Foods
Antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene help protect your body from chronic conditions like heart disease and cancer and improve your overall health. They are also a key component of many plant-based foods, so you can easily get more of them into your diet.
If you increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables to five to eight servings daily, you’ll consume a good amount of antioxidants each day. The following table shows some common foods, including lots of fruits and veggies, that are rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene.
