Most people love getting a small gift of chocolate goodies for Christmas. This recipe for chocolate clusters is as easy as one, two, three. Just melt the chocolate, add the raisins and nuts, and drop in a cluster.

1-2-3 Chocolate Chunky Clusters

Preparation time: 25 minutes, plus cooling time

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Yield: About 44 clusters

1 pound good-quality milk chocolate, finely chopped

1-1/4 cups golden raisins

1 cup unsalted roasted peanuts

  1. Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper or parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Place the chocolate in a double boiler over (but not touching) hot water. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Remove from the heat. Continue to stir the chocolate until melted. Remove the top half of the double boiler.

  3. Stir the raisins and peanuts into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes, until it starts to thicken. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the baking sheets. You can place them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to set. Store in an airtight container in a cool place, for up to 2 weeks.
