For Seniors: How to Go to a Contact’s Website or Email a Person in Your iPhone’s Contacts

The good people who design your iPhone are continually trying to make things easier for you. You can enter a wealth of information into your Contacts, such as a website and email address. Then, all you need to do is access that information directly from Contacts on your iPhone.

Go to a contact’s website

If you entered website information in the Home Page field, it automatically becomes a link in the contact’s record.

  1. Tap the Contacts app icon in the Extras folder to open Contacts.

  2. Tap a contact’s name to display the organization or person’s contact information, locate the Home Page field, and then tap the link.

You can’t go directly back to Contacts after you follow a link to a website. You have to press the Home button and then tap the Contacts app again to reenter the application or use the multitasking feature by pressing the Home button twice and choosing Contacts from the icons that appear along the bottom of the screen.

Address email using Contacts

If you entered an email address for a contact, the address automatically becomes a link in the contact’s record.

  1. Tap the Phone icon on the Home screen and then tap Contacts.

  2. Tap a contact’s name to display the person’s contact information, and then tap the email address link in the field labeled Email.
