How to Use Different Views in Windows 10 File Explorer

In this video, you will learn about the different views available to you in Windows 10 File Explorer. You can enable the Preview pane so that you can preview a file on the right side of the window to see the contents. This only works for text, images and videos. This video illustrates how to enable the Preview pane in the View tab. In a similar manner, you can enable a Details pane to appear in the right side of the window that provides you with details about the selected file. For instance, you can see details including the size of the file, the date it was created, and the date it was last modified. The Navigation pane will always appear by default on the left side of the window. As you will see, this pane shows you different locations on your computer and allows you to quickly access those places with the click of a button. If the Navigation pane is disabled, you will see Quick Access or This PC, depending on your settings. You will learn how to disable the Navigation pane in the View tab if you don't want it to appear as the default.
