Advanced Degree Programs for Jobs in Social Media

By Brooks Briz, David Rose

Several universities now offer advanced degree programs in social media. These institutions have reputations for embracing innovation and technology. As such, each program provides a structured learning framework for participants. Most of these programs are offered as online programs rather than classroom curriculum.

There’s a distinction between a certification program and a degree program. Certification programs offer specialized training and education in a given area. They require less time to complete than a degree program. A degree program offers specialized training and education in addition to a foundation of general education including mathematics, science, English, history, and humanities.

These graduate programs, online except for Rutgers and NYU, are in social media.
