The book covers two editing software packages. One works on Windows computers and the other works on Apple devices.

Windows Movie Maker — Windows users can click here to go to the site where you can download the free Windows Movie Maker software. Click the Download Now button to start the process.

iMovie — Apple product users can get iMovie for editing. There are versions of the software for Apple computers like iMacs and MacBooks and a version for iOS devices like iPads and iPhones.

  • Click here to get the version for an iOS device.
Some Windows and Apple computers come with video editing software already loaded onto the machine. Be sure to search your computer or device to see if Windows Movie Maker or iMovie is already installed before you start downloading.
Apple’s iMovie is not free software. If you do not have a copy of the program on your computer or device, you will have to buy it from the Mac App Store or iTunes. Be sure to check with a parent or guardian before trying to buy software.
Always ask for permission from a parent when you’re downloading and installing software on your home computer. Ask permission from a teacher or other administrator if you wish to download software onto a school or other public or shared computer.
