Where to Find Community Support for WordPress

Part of the WordPress For Dummies Cheat Sheet

Each version of WordPress — hosted, self-hosted, and multiuser — has support forums run by volunteers from the WordPress community. In these forums, you can ask questions and get answers from seasoned users of the software. Matching your version with the right forum is important, however; otherwise, you run the risk of annoying the natives. Use this list to click to the forum you need:

  • Click here if you’re using the free, hosted solution provided by the fine folks at WordPress.com.

  • If you’re self-hosting and running the single-user version of WordPress on your own Web server, click the link here.

  • Say you’re managing and maintaining a community of users in your domain, using the WordPress MU (multiuser) software, your community support is at this link.
